Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit gamidio.com, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect very little: there are no user accounts, no registration, no comments and nothing to buy on Gamidio.

Who is responsible

The controller of personal data processed through gamidio.com is the operator of the Gamidio website (“Gamidio”, “we”, “us”). For anything related to your personal data, write to contact@gamidio.com.

Gamidio is operated by Nolitech s. r. o., Na Karlove 4413/45, 974 01 Banská Bystrica, Slovak Republic, Company ID (IČO): 53 508 530, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Banská Bystrica, section Sro, entry No. 40306/S.

Supervisory authority: Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia), Inspectorate for the Banská Bystrica Region, Dolná 46, 974 00 Banská Bystrica.

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer.

In short

  • We do not ask for your name, e-mail or any other details to play.
  • Our hosting provider receives your IP address when you load a page, as every website’s server does.
  • Some games come from other companies’ servers. They load only after you press Play. Your browser then connects to that provider, which may use cookies, show ads and ask for its own consent.
  • If you e-mail us, we use your message only to reply.

What we process and why

Visiting the website (hosting)

Gamidio is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which delivers it through its worldwide network and protects it against attacks. Cloudflare also runs the name servers (DNS) of our domain. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare’s servers necessarily receive technical data: your IP address, the requested address, date and time, browser and device information. Cloudflare uses this data to deliver the site and to keep it and its network secure, and may keep logs for that purpose. We do not receive these logs and do not use them to identify visitors. We do not use Cloudflare’s analytics, and Cloudflare sets no cookies on our pages.

Games from third-party providers

Some games on Gamidio are embedded from the servers of the companies that provide them. Nothing is loaded from these servers when you open the game page. The game loads only after you press Play, and the page says which provider it comes from. Your browser then connects directly to the provider, which receives your IP address and device data and may use cookies and similar technologies, directly or through its advertising partners. Some of these partners are outside the EU. Some providers show their own ads and their own consent window inside the game.

Who is responsible: because we embed the game, we may be regarded as joint controllers with the provider for the collection and transmission of your data when the game loads. You can exercise your rights towards us or towards the provider. For everything that happens afterwards, the provider decides how it processes your data and is responsible for it as an independent controller:

  • HTMLGames.com (Zygomatic, the Netherlands) — games and in-game ads, including ads by its partners such as Yolla Media: privacy policy.
  • Playsaurus (Clicker Heroes, Grindcraft, Mr. Mine, Poker Quest, Fray Fight) — games, optional accounts and in-game purchases on their own sites: privacy policy.
  • Softbear Studios (mk48.io) — online multiplayer game with its own ads and consent window: privacy policy.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by pressing Play after reading the notice under the button. If you do not press Play, no data goes to the provider. You can withdraw your consent at any time by leaving the game and deleting that provider’s cookies in your browser; other games from other providers are not affected. We do not receive the data the providers collect. To limit it, use the consent window inside the game or your browser’s privacy settings.

Games hosted by us

Some open-source games are hosted by us, on gamidio.com (addresses starting with /play/), also on Cloudflare Pages. We removed all analytics, ads and online features that would send data elsewhere, so these games do not contact any other server. They save your progress, settings and high scores in your browser’s local storage or IndexedDB. This data stays on your device; we never receive it. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data for gamidio.com in your browser. Some games used to run on play.gamidio.com and play2.gamidio.com; data they saved there stays in your browser under those addresses until you clear it.

Links to other services

Gamidio links to its YouTube channel and to the websites of game creators. These are plain links: the other service receives data about you only if you follow the link, and its own privacy policy then applies.

When you contact us

If you write to us by e-mail, we process your e-mail address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message to answer and handle your request. Our mailbox is hosted by an e-mail provider in the European Union.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); for privacy requests, our legal obligation to handle them (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Retention: as long as needed to handle your request, then at most three years in case the matter comes up again, unless the law requires longer.

Which cookies and similar technologies are used on Gamidio, by whom and for how long is described in our Cookie Policy.

Recipients and transfers outside the EU

We do not sell personal data and do not share it with anyone except the services described above. Some of them are based in the United States or use servers there (Cloudflare, and some game providers and their advertising partners). Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses, as described in the privacy policies of those companies.

Children

Gamidio is made for teenagers and adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before you contact us. If we learn that we have received personal data of a child under 16, we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased, or its processing restricted;
  • receive data you gave us in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing before the withdrawal.

Write to contact@gamidio.com. We will answer free of charge within one month. Because we keep almost no data about visitors, for data collected by game providers please also contact them directly using the links above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live. In Slovakia it is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.

No automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Changes to this policy

When we change how Gamidio works, for example by adding a new service, we update this policy and the date at the top.
